S&P Global CSA Consultant Accreditation Program

The S&P Global CSA Consultant Accreditation Program is a formal framework for accrediting consulting firms to support the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), ensuring consistent quality, safeguarding methodology integrity, and enabling delivery of CSA-related services through accredited partners. 

An accredited Partner Firm is an organization that has successfully completed the application, signed the agreement, paid the fee, and has at least one consultant accredited. Individual accreditation is granted to consultants designated by the Partner Firm after completing training and passing the test. These individuals will be designated as CSA Accredited Consultants.

The S&P Global Partners Accreditation Program and its related content (including any training videos, information, data, analyses, opinions, ratings, scores, and other statements) (“Content”) has been prepared for informational and educational purposes only and is owned by or licensed to S&P Global and/or its affiliates (collectively, “S&P Global”). 

The Content reflects a summary and high‑level representation of S&P Global’s CSA methodology and does not constitute a complete or authoritative statement of the methodology. The Content is not intended to provide specialized advice, or any advice aimed at improving S&P Global CSA Scores, or to be relied upon as a substitute for S&P Global’s products, services, or official outputs.   The Content does not include, and Accredited Partners are not authorised to provide, any bespoke guidance, issuer-specific advice, drafting support, or optimisation strategies in relation to CSA outcomes.

Participation in the S&P Global Partners Accreditation Program does not create any employment, agency, partnership, or joint venture relationship with S&P Global. Nor does it provide access to non-public information, preferential treatment, or insight into CSA assessments beyond publicly available methodology materials. Accredited participants are independent third parties and are not employees, representatives, or agents of S&P Global, and S&P Global does not direct, supervise, or control their activities or any services they may provide. Accreditation is limited to recognition of successful completion of the program requirements and does not constitute endorsement, authorization, or ongoing oversight by S&P Global of any participant’s work, statements, or use of accreditation in external or commercial contexts.

By listing the name and logo of the Accredited Partners, S&P Global does not sponsor or recommend any third-party consulting services or providers participating in the S&P Global Partners Accreditation Program. Participation in the S&P Global Partners Accreditation Program does not provide any advantage or ability to influence S&P Global’s CSA Scores.  

This Content may not be modified, reverse engineered, reproduced or distributed in any form by any means without the prior written permission of S&P Global.

Adherence to S&P's Internal Policies  

S&P Global adopts policies and procedures to maintain the confidentiality of non-public information received in connection with its analytical processes. As a result, S&P Global employees are required to process non-public information in accordance with the technical and organizational measures referenced in the internal S&P Global Information Security and Acceptable Use policies and related guidelines.   

Conflicts of Interest  and Independence

S&P Global is committed to providing transparency to the market through high-quality independent opinions. Safeguarding the quality, independence and integrity of Content is embedded in its culture and at the core of everything S&P Global does. Accordingly, S&P Global has developed measures to identify, eliminate and/or minimize potential conflicts of interest for Sustainable1 as an organization and for individual employees. Such measures include, without limitation, establishing a clear separation between the activities and interactions of its analytical teams and non-analytical teams; email surveillance by compliance teams; and policy role designations. In addition, S&P Global employees are subject to mandatory annual training and attestations and must adhere to the Sustainable1 Independence and Objectivity Policy, the Sustainable1 Code of Conduct, the S&P Global Code of Business Ethics and any other related policies.
