Asia-Pacific Insurers: Market Volatility Is The Largest War-Related Impact
Asia-Pacific insurers have limited direct exposure to the Middle East. They are feeling indirect pain, however, mostly through financial market volatility. Protracted supply-chain disruptions could dampen growth, raise inflation and exacerbate insurer operating expenses. S&P Global Ratings believes the risks are manageable under our base-case scenario but would compound if disruptions persist for a longer period.
