North American Natural Gas Short-Term Outlook, June 2022

Our team recently updated the North American natural gas outlook for June 2022. Key highlights include:

• We have lowered our outlook for Henry Hub prices to reflect that most Freeport LNG supplies will be redirected and will reduce the storage deficit.
• We expect demand increases over 11 bcf/d through 2025 with nearly 50% of that growth from LNG exports.
• Natural gas for power generation should increase moderately through 2025 as roughly 70 GW of coal generation will be retired. Industrial demand will also increase through overall economic growth and olefin/methanol production capacity increases.
• We believe current global gas prices are likely to lead to incremental FIDs from our current outlook for US liquefaction, which will come online in 2025-2030.
