Platts changes the Polyvinyl Chloride Suspension grade CFR India laycan

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, has changed the delivery laycan of its CFR India Polyvinyl Chloride Suspension grade assessment effective May 6, 2026.

The change was first proposed in a note here, and the communication to implement the change was announced in a note here.

Platts has changed the delivery laycan for the CFR India Polyvinyl chloride to reflect cargoes delivered 25-50 days forward from the day of publication.

The assessment used to reflect deliveries 15-30 days forward.

This change aligns the assessment delivery laycan with a typical practice in the CFR India spot market.

Platts observed that CFR India PVC cargoes typically trade for loading the following month, with a typical transit time of 13-30 days from South Korea, Thailand, Japan, China and Indonesia.

For example, for a trade done on May 20, the shipment would be in the first half of June, that is, June 1-15, and the estimated delivery time at Indian ports would be between June 13 and July 10, depending on the origin.

The symbol affected is AAUWU00.

The assessment is published in Asia Petrochemical scan, Polymerscan, S&P Global Energy Core and on the Petrochemical Alert (PCA) pages 0262, 3021, 0530
