Platts changes US recycled polyethylene terephthalate specifications for clear flakes, food-grade pellets

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has changed the laycan and the quality specifications of its recycled polyethylene terephthalate clear flakes assessments in Los Angeles, Chicago, and US Southeast, and for food-grade pellets in Los Angeles, to reflect current market practice, effective Oct. 14.

The changes were first proposed in the subscriber note published on Aug. 13, which can be found here. The decision note published Sept. 9 can be found here.

The changes affect the following daily assessments, in cents/lb, along with all associated $/mt conversion assessments and averages.
