Platts to discontinue 19 global fertilizer freight assessments June 2
Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will discontinue 19 weekly dry bulk and liquid fertilizer freight assessments, effective June 2, 2025.
As the market continues to evolve, Platts will consider the most relevant and liquid markets, as evidenced by Platts trade flow software, S&P Global Commodities at Sea, along with extensive input from sources. The proposed discontinuations stem from shifts in fertilizer trade flows.
Platts will be integrating a wider range of relevant existing freight assessments into the affected PDF publications, effective June 2.
Assessments to be discontinued are as follows:
