Platts launches weekly CIF Turkey ABS spot assessment
Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, has launched a weekly CIF Turkey spot assessment for acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), effective Sept. 16, 2026.
The assessment complements Platts existing global ABS coverage and provides additional transparency to the Turkish market.
The assessment specifications are as follows:

The assessment was first proposed on July 14 in a subscriber note available here and confirmed in a subsequent note on Aug. 12, published here.
The new CIF Turkey assessment takes into consideration price information gathered up to the close of the assessment process each Wednesday at 4:30 pm London time and follows the London publishing schedule.
The Turkish ABS market forms part of the existing European commentary and rationale, published on PCA0792 and PCA0793, which will be renamed European and Turkish ABS.
The assessment appears on S&P Global Energy Core, Polymerscan and on Petrochemical Alert fixed page 0239.
