Platts to launch weekly CIF Turkey ABS spot assessment Sept 16
Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, will launch a weekly CIF Turkey spot assessment for acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) effective Sept. 16, 2026.
The assessment will complement Platts' existing global ABS coverage and provide additional transparency to the Turkish market.
The assessment's specifications will be as follows:

The assessment was first proposed on 14 July in a subscriber note available here.
The new CIF Turkey assessments will take into consideration price information gathered up to the close of the assessment process each Wednesday at 4:30 pm London time, and will follow the London publishing schedule.
The Turkish ABS market will form part of the existing European commentary and rationale, published on PCA0792 and PCA0793, which will be renamed European and Turkish ABS.
The assessment will appear on S&P Global Energy Core, Polymerscan and on Petrochemical Alert fixed page 0329.
