Platts to discontinue MMA CFR China daily price assessment effective Sept 30

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, will discontinue the publication of its existing methyl methacrylate (MMA) CFR China daily price assessment, effective Sept. 30, 2026.

After careful review of recent market activity and feedback, Platts has determined that the aforementioned CFR China assessment no longer reflects market practices and trade flows in the region.

Platts first proposed discontinuing the existing assessment in a subscriber note published June 18, 2026.

The following symbols will be discontinued:

These assessments appear in Polymerscan , Asian Petrochemicalscan , Solventswire , PCA190, PCA460, Platts database, and on S&P Global Energy Core.

The discontinuation follows a recent decision by Platts to launch a weekly FOB China MMA price marker effective Aug. 4, 2026, which is published here.
