Platts proposes to discontinue MMA CFR China daily price assessment effective Sept 30

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, is proposing to discontinue the publication of its existing methyl methacrylate (MMA) CFR China daily price assessment, effective Sept. 30, 2026, due to the change in trade flows.

After careful review of recent market activity and feedback, Platts has determined that the aforementioned CFR China assessment no longer reflects market practices.

The discontinuation proposal also follows a recent proposal by Platts to launch a weekly FOB China MMA price marker effective Aug. 4, 2026, which is published here:

These assessments appear in Polymerscan, Asian Petrochemicalscan, PCA190, PCA460, Platts database, and on S&P Global Energy Core.
