Mark Eramo

Mark has P&L responsibility for Oil Markets, Midstream, Downstream, and Chemicals and manages a global team of nearly 500 colleagues delivering information and insights to the energy, refining, chemicals, and related industries. Prior to his current role, Mark was the vice president of business development for Oil Markets, Midstream, Downstream, and Chemicals at S&P Global, leading a global team that works with existing and new clients to develop and strengthen the business relationships at the executive level and to ensure a full understanding of the breadth of S&P Global offerings. He previously led the chemical market research teams at S&P Global, which provide in-depth market research and analysis on nearly 300 chemical and derivative markets. Mark joined the company as part of Chemical Market Associates, Inc. (CMAI), which is now part of S&P Global. He spent more than 13 years at CMAI and was responsible for olefins market analysis and forecasts. In his last role as executive vice president, he was responsible for global market advisory services covering base chemicals, intermediates, and plastics markets. He also served on the Board of Directors for CMAI for several years. Previously, Mark spent more than 12 years in the chemical industry with Vista Chemical Company, holding positions in technical sales, customer service, and product management.He holds a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Cornell University, United States.

Marifaith Hackett

Dr. Marifaith has more than 30 years of experience in the global chemicals industry. She leads S&P Global's Renewables and Nutrition team, which analyzes the bio-based chemicals, bioplastics, and biofuels industries as well as food and nutrition markets. Recent projects have focused on the role of biodegradable polymers in the circular economy, trends and opportunities in the food additives market, and structural changes in the global flavors and fragrances industry.Before joining S&P Global, Dr. Marifaith was a product manager and market/technology analyst at several consulting, manufacturing, and Internet companies. She started her career as a research chemist in the New Products R&D division of Amoco Chemical Company. Educated in the United States, Dr. Marifaith's credentials include a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Bradley University in Illinois, an MBA from the University of Chicago, and an organic chemistry doctorate from Harvard University.​

Bala Suresh

Bala is responsible for providing strategic leadership for the global chemical supply/demand analytics and for planning and oversight of content, forecast methodology and quality of reports pertaining to the industrial gases and fertilizer markets.Bala joined SRI Consulting in 2000 before it was acquired by IHS Markit (Now a part of S&P Global) in 2010, which merged with Markit in 2016. He has authored a broad range of reports for the Chemical Economics Handbook (CEH) and the Specialty Chemicals Update Program (SCUP) publications and contributes to ongoing development of programs and single client consulting projects.Bala has over 30 years of experience in process design, plant economics, marketing research and business development, both in industrial and consulting areas. He started his career in India, working with the Indian subsidiary of Clariant, and later joined Ballmer Lawrie & Co. (India) in their petrochemical division. In 1991, he joined Nuclear Fuel Services, Tennessee, where he was involved in field engineering and also led business development activities.Bala holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Chemical Engg. and an MBA.
