S&P Global Platts has discontinued publishing the Tia Juana Light feeder crude value due to declining production and a lack of spot market activity, effective Dec. 1, 2020.
Platts understands that Tijuana Light was historically produced by Venezuela, but recent production has shifted to heavier crudes. The country now produces little, if any, Tijuana Light.
Platts first proposed the discontinuation in a subscriber note on Oct. 27, 2020.
The discontinuation will affect the following codes:
Tia Juana Light PCAEH00
TJ Light MAvg PCAEH03
The prices appeared on Platts Global Alert page 1805 and in Oilgram Price Report.
