Platts to discontinue Platts FOLicht UCOME +5 FOB ARA assessment

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will discontinue the Platts FOLicht UCOME +5 FOB ARA (AFOLA04) price assessment effective Jan. 21, 2026.

Platts proposes to discontinue the Eur/metric ton spot price assessment, as the UCOME FOB ARA outright price better reflects market liquidity.

The Platts UCOME FOB ARA Outright price assessment (AUMEB00) will not be discontinued and will continue to provide a comprehensive view of the market.

The discontinuation was first proposed on Oct. 15 in a subscriber note available here.

The FOLicht UCOME assessment is published in the Biomass-Based Diesel Report and in the World Biodiesel Price report. The assessment is also available on Platts Connect.
