Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has launched new daily spot assessments for low density polyethylene and high density PE blowmolding grade for the Middle Eastern market, effective Nov. 1, 2024.
The new assessments provide further transparency to the Middle Eastern polyethylene market, while complementing Platts' existing suite of FOB Saudi Arabia netback values and existing Middle East PP raffia assessments.
A proposal to assess these markets was originally published on Aug. 21 and can be found here. The subsequent decision to assess these markets was published Sept. 12 and can be found here.
