Platts proposes to launch daily FOB Saudi Arabia polyethylene spot assessments Nov. 1

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, is proposing to launch daily spot assessments for low density polyethylene and high density PE blowmolding grade for the Saudi Arabian market, effective Nov. 1, 2024.

The new assessments would provide further transparency to the Middle Eastern polyethylene market, while complementing Platts' existing suite of FOB Saudi Arabia netback values and existing Middle East PP raffia assessments.

Details of the proposed assessments are as follows:

The proposed assessments would reflect spot values on a daily basis at 11:30 London time and would follow the London publishing calendar. A weekly commentary and assessment rationale would be published on Wednesdays and would appear in Polymerscan.
