Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has launched weekly carbon black spot assessments for Northwest Europe, effective Oct. 4, 2024.
The new assessments were originally proposed in a subscriber note published on Aug. 16 and available here, with a subsequent note published on Sept. 2 and available here.
Details of the assessments are as follows:

The assessments reflect the latest information sourced from the market up to the close of the assessment process at 16:30 London time on Fridays and will follow the London publishing calendar.
A weekly commentary and rationale will be published on a Friday and will appear in Olefinscan and on Platts Connect.
