Platts to amend publication schedule, forex calculations for monthly ferrous assessments

The following Platts monthly frequency assessments will be affected by the change to the publication schedule:

Platts will also amend the formula to calculate the US dollar conversion for a number of the monthly frequency assessments to better account for exchange rate fluctuations between the US dollar and the euro, effective November 2024.

The amended formula will use the exchange rate from the day of assessment, revised from the current formula which applies a EUR:USD rate from one day prior to the 10th of the month.

The change will affect the following US dollar conversion symbols:
