Platts changes incoterms for Brazil R-PET assessments

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has changed the incoterm for its price assessments for recycled polyethylene terephthalate (R-PET) in Brazil from Delivery Duty Paid (DDP) to Delivered at Place (DAP), effective Aug. 20, 2025.

The change to DAP, which implies that the seller is responsible for delivering the goods to a specified destination, more accurately represents current trade practices, according to market feedback, and align with Platts' methodology that reflects pricing excluding domestic taxes, specifically ICMS, PIS, COFINS and IPI, as detailed in the subscriber note available here.

This change impacts the following daily assessments, along with all associated averages and conversions:
