Platts launches DDP Brazil recycled polyethylene terephthalate assessments

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, launched new daily spot post-consumer bottle bales and recycled PET flake price assessments on a DDP Brazil basis, effective Aug. 12.

The assessments have the following specifications:

Post-consumer curbside clear bottle bales with a minimum PET content of 95%

Clear hot-washed flake, derived from 100% post-consumer recycled content, with an intrinsic viscosity below 0.70 dl/g and a PVC content no higher than 100 ppm

Post-consumer curbside green bottle bales with a minimum PET content of 95%

Green hot-washed flake, derived from 100% post-consumer recycled content, with an intrinsic viscosity below 0.70 dl/g and a PVC content no higher than 50 ppm

The assessments reflect spot prices at 4 pm US Central Time.

Pricing information for material with other specifications and terms may be normalized to the standard.
