Platts renames Japan low-carbon aluminum calculation

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has changed the description of its quarterly Japan Low-Carbon Aluminum all-in calculated price (JLCAC00), effective Aug. 11, 2025.

The description has been updated from Japan Low-Carbon Aluminum Forward Quarter Price (All-in) to Japan Low-Carbon Aluminum Quarterly Contract Price (All-in). The change aligns descriptions across Asia aluminum assessments.

The change also applies to the associated monthly average (JLCAC03).

Platts communicated the change in a subscriber note on June 27.
