July 03, 2025
Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has amended the specifications of its FCA Benelux Diammonium Phosphate assessment, effective July 3, 2025.
The changes further tighten the assessment specifications in order to provide greater clarity and transparency.
The location specification of the assessment has been narrowed, with the port of Ghent in Belgium as a basis. Price information relating to other relevant Benelux ports is normalized to this point, where applicable and possible.
Platts has also changed the timing specification to a basis of loading 7 to 21 days forward to provide a more precise assessment of market value. Platts normalizes information to this point where necessary.
Platts has launched a single number "close" value for each of these assessments, with standardized high and low ranges $1/mt above (high) and below (low) this new close value.
The revised specifications for the assessment read as follows:
FDPBX04 -- Diammonium Phosphate FCA Benelux FCA $/mt Wkly
· Quality: DAP with nitrogen content of 18% and a standard P2O5 content of 46%
· Quantity: Basis 25 mt
· Basis and location: FCA Ghent, Belgium
· Timing: Loading 7 to 21 days forward
· Frequency: Weekly, every Thursday
· Unit of assessment: US $/mt
· Timestamp: 16:30 London close, published according to the London publishing calendar
The assessment appears in Platts Connect, the Phosphate Market Report, the European Fertilizer Report, and the Platts price database.
Platts announced the decision to amend the price in a subscriber note published here, following a proposal subscriber note published here.
