Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will change the publication schedule for its daily carbon-accounted iron ore and carbon intensity premium assessments, effective June 2.
The Carbon-Accounted IODEX (CAIAA00) and IODEX Carbon Intensity Premium (CAIAB00) will follow the Singapore and US publication calendars. The assessments will not be published on a holiday in either location.
The change follows that to the publication schedule of the Platts Carbon Removal Credit assessment (ACRCA00) to one based on the US publication calendar, communicated in the May 5(opens in a new tab) subscriber note.
The Platts CRC assessment is an input to the IODEX Carbon Intensity Premium via the formula: IODEX Carbon Intensity Premium = IODEX Carbon Intensity (CAIAG00)/1,000 to convert from kilograms to metric tons * Platts CRC (ACRCA00)
The affected symbols are:
Assessment | Symbol | Frequency | Publication calendar before June 2 | Publication calendar from June 2 |
Carbon-Accounted IODEX | CAIAA00 | Daily | Singapore | Singapore and US |
IODEX Carbon Intensity Premium | CAIAB00 | Daily | Singapore | Singapore and US |
For further details of the Platts publishing calendars, please see the Platts Pricing Holiday Schedule(opens in a new tab).
The assessments are published on the real-time Platts Steel Alert and Platts Metals Alert page 0360, in SBB Steel Markets Daily and in the Platts price database.
