Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has changed the minimum loading quantity for its FOB Egypt Granular Urea assessment (FGUEA04) to 5,000 mt, effective from May 1, 2024.
This amendment reflects changing market dynamics and an increase in the proportion of 5,000 mt cargoes trading in the spot market.
Platts confirmed it would make this change in a subscriber note published April 11, and available here.
Platts previously assessed the Egyptian granular urea price based on a 6,000 mt minimum quantity threshold.
Full details of Platts Fertilizer coverage can be found in the Specifications Guide available here.
