Platts to change Egyptian granular urea FOB minimum loading quantity to 5,000 mt

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will change the minimum loading quantity for its FOB Egypt Granular Urea assessment (FGUEA04) to 5,000 mt, effective from May 15 2024.

The proposal note for the change was first published March 26, and can be found here .

This amendment reflects changing market dynamics, and an increase in 5,000 mt cargoes trading in the spot market.

Platts currently assesses the Egyptian granular urea price based on a 6,000 mt minimum quantity threshold.
