Platts to discontinue German Creek met coal relativities May 30, 2020

S&P Global Platts has decided to discontinue its German Creek brand assessment for both CFR China and FOB Australia in the Asia Pacific Metallurgical Coal market, effective May 30, 2020.

The decision reflects diminishing spot liquidity observed for the brand and follows a period of market consultation. The last day of assessment for German Creek will be May 29, 2020.

The change will affect prices published on Page 10 of Steel Markets Daily publication, page 8 of Coal Trader International, Platts Market Center, Platts Metals Alert pages MW1064 and MW1066 and in the Platts price database under the following codes:
