S&P Global Platts is proposing to discontinue German Creek brand assessments for both CFR China and FOB Australia in the Asia-Pacific metallurgical coal market, effective June 1, 2020.
The proposal reflects diminishing spot liquidity observed for the brand.
The last day of assessment for German Creek would be May 29, 2020.
The change would affect the prices published on page 10 of the Steel Markets Daily publication, page 8 of Coal Trader International, Platts Market Center, Platts Metals Alert pages MW1064 and MW1066, and in the Platts price database under the following codes:

Met Coal German Creek CFR China $/mt MCBAC00 MCBAC03
Met Coal German Creek FOB Australia $/mt HCGCA00 HCGCA03
