Platts discontinues three European fertilizer freight assessments

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has discontinued three European freight assessments appearing in its Fertecon publications, effective Feb. 22, 2024.

Platts discontinued these freight assessments due to changing market dynamics.

The discontinuations were original proposed on Nov. 17, in a subscriber note published here:

Following a feedback period, the decision to discontinue the affected assessments was published on Dec. 5, in a subscriber note published here:

The affected assessments had appeared previously in the biweekly European Fertilizer Report. They did not appear in the Platts PricePoint database or in the Connect Data Browser.

The following freight assessments were discontinued:

Morocco NW Europe 8-10,000 mt FUFMA04

Baltic UK 3-4,000 mt FUFMB04

Morocco Spain/Italy 3-6,000 mt FUFMC04
