Olivier Lejeune , team leader for European and African middle distillates, discusses a bearish start to 2014 for diesel, jet fuel and gasoil markets with editors David Elward and Robert Friend. Rising exports from the US and new refining capacity coming online in the Middle East is already putting pressure on European distillate cracks, which, as Elza Turner, senior editor for EMEA oil, explains, could lead to further closures in the domestic refining sector.
