Listen: Iraq’s oil sector ambitions in the Trump era

Iraq is working to sharply expand its oil export capacity despite its agreement as part of OPEC to hold back supply. Those ambitions could get an unexpected boost from US President Donald Trump’s exit from the Iran nuclear deal, if reimposed sanctions take Iranian barrels off the market.

Iraq Oil Report’s Ben Lando, founder and publisher, and Ben Van Heuvelen, editor-in-chief, join Capitol Crude to talk about the state of Iraq’s upstream, Russia's growing presence there, and what the names Mike Pompeo and John Bolton mean to officials in Baghdad and Erbil.
