Enterprise delays startup of new Texas PDH unit: filing

Houston — Enterprise Products Partners has delayed its startup timeframe by almosttwo weeks on its newbuild 750,000 mt/year propane dehydrogenation plant inMont Belvieu, Texas, the company said Friday.

The new timeframe is January 4 through February 3, Enterprise said in aregulatory filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.

The referenced startup timeframe in the filing is a "best estimate," thecompany said.

Enterprise in late December said it planned to begin startup operationsfor the new PDH unit between December 24 and January 23, and in late Novemberthe company said it expected to startup by December 30, the company said inseparate filings with TCEQ.

The PDH unit -- which has seen many delays -- was initially expected tobe operational by the end of 2016, but due to production issues and HurricaneHarvey, the PDH has seen frequent delays in startup.
