Global Metals Outlook Summit

May 16, 2019
London, UK
Corinthia Hotel

  • S&P Global Platts is delighted to reveal the launch of a new metals event for Europe taking place on May 16th at the Corinithia Hotel. The S&P Global Platts Global Metals Outlook Summit provides you with an unrivalled opportunity to hear and engage with foremost Metals experts and industry leaders on the upcoming trends and economic developments for the year ahead.

This event will take place during the day of the S&P Global Platts Global Metals Awards evening. We have special rates if you would like to attend both events on May 16. See our pricing tab for more details.

In 2019 the metal market will have to adapt further to survive the rise of Global Overcapacity and Trade Wars along with the assistance of a Digital Evolution. The agenda we have put together for this event will aim to cover the following.

    Topics include:

  • Market Dynamics – Macroeconomics, supply and demand, price trends, reducing costs and impacts of environmental regulation – what does it all mean for the metal industry?
  • Mining Industry – After about a decade of declining productivity, (MPI) has confirmed the trend is reversing via technology-enabled transformation of mining operations.
  • Steel Markets – Understanding the impact of trade wars, overcapacity and environmental pollution upon worldwide steel production and pricing.
  • Precious Metals – A refiner’s perspective on the future of financing the precious metals supply chain.
  • Copper Outlook – Analysing copper usage then and now: is the current rate of recycling behind the actual demand for it?
  • Global Aluminium Market – What’s moving the aluminum markets across the different regions?
  • Battery Metals – How can the industry work together to maximise profit and value by minimising waste in the value chain? Also which is the superior, Nickel or Cobalt?
