Platts lowers minimum quantity specifications for European ferroalloy assessments

The change follows market feedback and observations that spot liquidity in the European ferroalloys market has evolved in recent years, with a growing proportion of transactions concluded at volumes below the thresholds previously reflected in Platts methodologies.

Platts first proposed the changes in its Aug. 19 subscriber note, Platts proposes changing minimum quantity specifications for European ferroalloy assessments, seeks feedback on additional specifications and subsequently announced its decision in its Oct. 6 subscriber note, Platts to lower minimum quantity specifications for European ferroalloy assessments.

Ferrochrome 65% Cr High Carbon DDP NWE MMAIQ00 Minimum 50 mt
