Platts to discontinue FOB Baltic Ammonia assessments, effective Jan. 4

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, will discontinue its FOB Baltic ammonia assessments, effective Jan. 4, 2027.

The discontinuation is due to the cessation of FOB trade in the Baltic since 2022 and a shift in exports from Russia to markets like CFR Turkey (FAMMC00).

The daily Ammonia FOB Baltic (AFBBD00), daily monthly average (AFBBD03) and weekly Ammonia FOB Baltic (FABAB04) prices and weekly monthly average (FABAB03) will be discontinued.

The discontinuation was initially proposed in a subscriber note published on Sept. 15, available here.

The assessments appear in Platts Core, the Fertecon Daily, the Ammonia Market Report and the Platts price database.
