Platts to change the frequency of Turkish R-PET light blue flakes spot price assessment

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, will change the frequency of the recycled polyethylene terephthalate light blue flakes ex-works Turkey spot price assessment from weekly to daily, effective Nov. 26, 2026, to better align with global R-PET coverage and reflect market activity.

The change was first proposed in a subscriber note on Sept. 17, available here.

The change will impact the following price assessment:

Under these changes, the existing weekly symbol [PBLET04] will become daily, and a new weekly average symbol will be launched and published on Wednesdays.

Pricing information with terms, locations and specifications different from the above standard may be considered for assessment purposes, subject to normalization.

These assessments appear on S&P Global Energy Core and in Polymerscan and Sustainable Polymerscan.
