Platts amends Abu Dhabi crude OSPs publication

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, has updated its publication of Abu Dhabi crude official selling prices effective Oct.8, 2026, in line with changes announced by Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. (ADNOC).

In July, ADNOC said it would adopt a prompt-month pricing methodology based on the Platts Dubai benchmark (PCAAT00) plus an ADNOC-announced differential for the OSPs of its Abu Dhabi onshore and offshore crude grades, with effect from November 2026 loadings. ADNOC added that it would announce the OSP differentials for Murban, Das, Umm Lulu and Upper Zakum in the month prior to the delivery month.

Accordingly, Platts will publish the monthly OSP differentials for the four grades, basis Platts Dubai, beginning with the November differentials issued by ADNOC on Oct. 8, 2026.

Platts first announced the change in a subscriber note published on Aug. 31, 2026.

The OSP differentials are published under the following reinstated codes:

Platts previously published the OSP differentials under these codes until May 2021, when they were then suspended due to a change in the ADNOC pricing methodology.

From November, the existing codes for the outright OSPs for Murban (AAIKZ00), Upper Zakum (AAILC00), Das Blend (AAXPH00) and Umm Lulu (OSLUF00) will remain unchanged. Platts will publish the outright OSPs of the four grades following the publication of the average of Platts Dubai crude assessments during the month of loading.

In view of the changes, Platts is no longer updating the codes reflecting Upper Zakum, Das Blend and Umm Lulu OSP differentials against Murban, as well as the codes for all four grades, including Murban, calculated against the monthly average of Platts cash Dubai 1st Line assessment in the month of trade.

ADNOC's OSPs are published in the Platts price database and on Platts Global Alert page 1051.
