Platts to amend Abu Dhabi crude OSPs publication

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, will update its publication of Abu Dhabi crude Official Selling Prices effective October 2026, in line with changes announced by Abu Dhabi National Oil Co.

In July, Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. said it will adopt a prompt-month pricing methodology based on the Platts Dubai benchmark (PCAAT00) plus an ADNOC-announced differential for the OSPs of its Abu Dhabi onshore and offshore crude grades, with effect from November 2026 loadings. ADNOC will announce the OSP differentials for Murban, Das, Umm Lulu and Upper Zakum in the month prior to the delivery month, it said.

Accordingly, Platts will publish the monthly OSP differentials for the four grades basis Platts Dubai, beginning with the November differentials expected to be issued by ADNOC in October.

The OSP differentials will be published under the following reinstated codes:

Grade OSP Diff to Dubai

Murban AAIOS00

Umm Lulu OSLUD00

Das Blend AAXPL00

Upper Zakum AAIOV00

Platts previously published the OSP differentials under these codes until May 2021, when they were then suspended due to a change in the ADNOC pricing methodology.

From November, the existing codes for the outright OSPs for Murban (AAIKZ00), Upper Zakum (AAILC00), Das Blend (AAXPH00) and Umm Lulu (OSLUF00) will remain unchanged. Platts will publish the outright OSPs of the four grades following the publication of the average of Platts Dubai crude assessments during the month of loading.

In view of the changes, Platts will no longer update the codes reflecting Upper Zakum, Das Blend and Umm Lulu OSP differentials against Murban, as well as the codes for all four grades, including Murban, calculated against the monthly average of Platts cash Dubai 1st Line assessment in the month of trade.
