Platts discontinues 24 European fertilizer price assessments Sept. 24
Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, has discontinued 24 European fertilizer prices, effective Sept. 24.
The discontinuation was in response to declining product usage, shifts in trade flows, evidence of changing end-user preferences toward other products and illiquidity or limited market participation.
The discontinuation of the assessments was first proposed June 25 in a subscriber note available here and confirmed July 16 in a subscriber note available here.
As the market continues to evolve, Platts will consider the most relevant and liquid markets, as evidenced by Platts trade flow software and market feedback.
Platts continues to assess comparable markets for the affected products that better reflect market activity.
The following assessments have been discontinued:
