Platts launches benzene East China weekly inventory assessment Sept. 4

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, has launched a new weekly benzene inventory assessment for East China, effective Sept. 4, 2026.

The new assessment expands the existing suite of aromatics inventory assessments and broadens the coverage of the Asian benzene market.

The assessment was first announced in a subscriber note published Aug. 7, available here.

The new assessment reflects commercial stock levels, expressed in metric tons, for Jiangsu Province, including Changzhou, Jiangyin and Zhangjiagang, and takes into consideration information gathered and surveyed from market participants up to the close of the assessment window at 4:30 pm Singapore time on Friday.

The assessment is published on Friday and follows the Singapore publishing schedule.
