Platts to launch benzene east China weekly inventory assessment Sept. 4

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, will launch a new weekly benzene inventory assessment for east China, effective Sept. 4, 2026, to expand its suite of aromatics inventory assessments and to broaden the coverage of the Asian benzene market.

The new assessment will reflect commercial stock levels, expressed in metric tons, for Jiangsu Province, including Changzhou, Jiangyin and Zhangjiagang, and take into consideration information gathered and surveyed from market participants up to the close of the assessment window at 4:30 pm SGT on Friday.

The assessment will be published on Friday and will follow the Singapore publishing schedule.

The assessment will be published in S&P Global Energy Core, Asia Petrochemicalscan and on the Petrochemical Alert (PCA) page 101.
