Platts corrects European natural gas differential assessments following back-end calculation error

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, has corrected a series of European natural gas differential assessments effective from their launch on July 20, 2026, to Sept. 2, 2026.

Due to a back-end calculation error, the affected differential assessments were calculated using an incorrect input, resulting in inverse values that did not accurately reflect the intended spread between the underlying European gas hubs and the Dutch TTF reference market.

The correction ensures that the historical values published in the Platts database accurately reflect the methodology described in the launch note published July 20, 2026, and are consistent with the underlying hub assessments used in the calculation of these differentials.
