Platts updates US Domestic Urea Ammonium Nitrate price assessment, Sept. 3
Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, has amended the methodology and specifications of its weekly US Domestic urea ammonium nitrate (UAN) price assessment, effective Sept. 3, 2026.
Following market feedback and a review of trading activity, Platts has introduced a daily close value and has updated the assessment specifications to better reflect prevailing spot market liquidity and trading practices in the US Gulf Coast UAN market.
The low and high elements of the assessment are standardized at $1/short ton above and below the assessed close value. As well as introducing a close value, Platts has adjusted the basis volume, timing, and location to better reflect market activity.
