Platts proposes to update its US Domestic Urea Ammonium Nitrate price assessment Sep 3

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, proposes to update the specifications of its US Domestic Urea Ammonium Nitrate (UAN) price assessment, effective Sept. 3, 2026.

As well as introducing a close value, Platts also proposes to adjust the basis volume, timing, and location to better reflect market activity.

The adjusted specifications of the weekly assessment would be as follows:

Basis and location: Loading out of New Orleans, USA on FOB barge basis; excludes netbacks from inland prices

Unit of assessment: $/st

Timestamp: 16:30 São Paulo, published according to the São Paulo publishing calendar

Basis and location: FOB New Orleans, Louisiana

Timing: Loading 1-30 days forward from date of publication

The low and high elements of each assessment would be standardized to $1/st above and below the assessed close value.
