Platts updates RVP calendar to reflect latest EPA waiver update

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, will reflect 10 RVP for Group 3 and Denver assessments effective Aug. 31, and 11.5 RVP for Chicago gasoline assessments and 10 RVP for Dallas assessments Sept. 1

This change aligns with the Environmental Protection Agency's state-regulated single gasoline pool E15 waiver, which remains in effect until Sept. 15 and allows the transition to winter gasoline to begin Sept. 1.

The Group 3 and Denver assessments will reflect the change one day earlier, consistent with Platts methodology of assessing next-day barrels in those regions.

The adjustment follows the State of Wisconsin's Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection announcement on Aug. 25 regarding adherence to the E15 waiver, as well as Explorer Pipeline's revised RVP calendar published Aug. 27 and a clarification from ONEOK pipeline.
