Platts to update the specifications of its granular MOP CFR Brazil assessment, Sept. 15
Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, will update the specifications of its CFR Brazil granular muriate of potash (MOP) price assessment (FKCIT04), effective Sept. 15, 2026.
These amendments are intended to better reflect potash market dynamics in Brazil.
The following updates will be made to the specifications of the weekly assessment as follows:

In addition, Platts will introduce a new "close" value, along with low and high values published at a standardized to minus $1/st, plus $1/st below and above the assessed close value, respectively.
These assessments are currently published on Energy Core, in the Platts Fertecon Potash Market Report and on the fixed page FEA0365. The price is assessed on Tuesdays at 1630 São Paulo time and follows the São Paulo publishing schedule.
