Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, proposes to update the specifications of its CFR Brazil granular muriate of potash (MOP) price assessment (FKCIT04), effective Sept. 15, 2026.
The proposed amendments are intended to better reflect potash market dynamics in Brazil.
The proposed updates to the specifications of the weekly assessment are as follows:

In addition, this proposal includes the introduction of a new "close" value, along with low and high values published at a standardized to minus $1/st, plus $1/st below and above the assessed close value, respectively.
These assessments are currently published on Energy Core, in the Platts Fertecon Potash Market Report and on the fixed page FEA0101. The price is assessed on Tuesdays at 1630 São Paulo time and follows the São Paulo publishing schedule.
