Platts changes published unit of measurement of renewable diesel (HVO) premiums in Biofuelscan and the Biomass-Based Diesel Report, Aug. 3.

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, has updated is biofuel publications to include the European renewable diesel premium assessments in $/cubic meter, over the Platts FOB ARA ULSD Barge assessment, effective Aug. 3, 2026.

The change better reflects the European spot market, and the frequency of market indications received by Platts, which are expressed in $/cubic meter over the Platts FOB ARA ULSD Barge price.

As a result, Platts RD-A FOB FARAG Premium $/cubic meter (ANEWG00), and Platts RD-B FOB FARAG Premium $/cubic meter (ANEWH00) are now be published in Biofuelscan and the Biomass Diesel Report.

The existing premiums in $/mt no longer appear in the publications, but continue to be published under the symbols ANEWC00 for the RD-A FOB FARAG Premium $/mt, and ANEWD00 for the RD-B FOB FARAG Premium $/mt.

The specifications of the assessments remain unchanged.
