Energy Transition, Electric Power, Renewables
June 18, 2026
Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, will launch three power Guarantees of Origin spot differential assessments for Germany, the Netherlands and Austria, respectively, effective July 16.
The markets will be assessed as a differential to the widely traded AIB Guarantees of Origin and could be at a premium or discount.
Platts initially proposed the above assessments in a subscriber note published June 1.
The launch is in response to market feedback calling for greater price transparency and more granularity in country-specific GOs markets in Europe. The assessments will also complement Platts existing offerings in the European GOs markets, including AIB Wind, AIB Solar and Nordic Hydro assessments.
The assessments will reflect the differential for current-year certificates and reflect all technologies.
Platts will launch the following assessments:
| Assessment name | Symbol |
| Germany GO differential to AIB EuGOs | GGDAE04 |
| Netherlands GO differential to AIB EuGOs | NGDAE04 |
| Austria GO differential to AIB EuGOs | AGDAE04 |
The assessments will reflect the following specifications:
These assessments will be published in the REC Daily and European Power Daily.
Further details on Platts renewable certificate assessment specifications can be found here.
