Platts to launch new M3 FOB Rotterdam methanol spot price assessment

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, will launch a new FOB Rotterdam methanol price assessment to reflect loading during the third month from the date of publication (M3), effective June 22, 2026.

The assessment's specifications and terms will mirror those of the existing M1 and M2 assessments. The M3 assessment will also roll to the next month five working days prior to the end of the publishing month.

Details of the assessment are as follows:

The assessment will take into consideration price information gathered up to the close of the assessment process at 4:30 pm London time each day, including firm bids and offers, trades and indicative values, as well as any other data deemed relevant to the assessment process.

The M3 assessment will be published alongside existing European methanol assessments on S&P Global Energy Core, in Europe & Americas Petrochemicalscan, and on Petrochemical Alert fixed pages PC1160.
