Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, is proposing to launch a new FOB Rotterdam methanol price assessment to reflect loading during the third month from the date of publication (M3), effective June 22, 2026.

The assessment's specifications and terms would mirror those of the existing M1 and M2 assessments. The M3 assessment would also roll to the next month, five working days prior to the end of the publishing month.

Details of the proposed assessment are as follows:

Assessment Basis Currency/UOM Laycan Cargo size (standard basis) Specification

The proposed assessment would take into consideration price information gathered up to the close of the assessment process at 4:30 pm London time each day, including firm bids and offers, trades and indicative values, as well as any other data deemed relevant to the assessment process.

The M3 assessment would be published alongside existing European methanol assessments on Platts Solventswire, S&P Global Energy Core, in Europe & Americas Petrochemicalscan, and on Petrochemical Alert fixed pages PC 1160, PC346 and PC432.
