Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, has amended the laycan dates for all CFR West Africa polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) assessments to 30-60 days forward from the day of publication, effective May 6.
The changes were first proposed in a subscriber note published March 18, available here, and confirmed in a subscriber note published April 8, available here .
The revision to the laycan specifications reflects the observation of further delivery periods for spot transactions due to a change in trade flows, longer transit times, and higher import volumes of PP from China.
